Mrs. Mary Tavernier
Mrs. Mary Tavernier, wife of Anthony Tavernier, passed away at her home on Church street at 6 o'clock Thursday morning, after an illness covering the past year, the last two weeks of which her condition was extremely critical.
Mrs. Tavernier was born in Canada seventy-two years ago and was married to Mr. Tavernier fifty-two years ago, since which time the couple had made their home in this immediate neighborhood. She had a wide acquaintance and was known as a woman of many splendid traits of character.
Surviving are her husband, four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Lewis Wood, of Chateaugay, Mrs. Frank Delargie [sic], of Chicopee, Mass., Mrs. Gertrude Bell, of Springfield, Mass., Mrs. Annie Amour, of Chateaugay, John Tavernier, of Burke, and William Tavernier, of Malone. Besides a grandchild, Miss Mary Tavernier who had been a member of the family since childhood.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's chapel at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning.

TAVERNIER - At Chateaugay, Jan. 31, after a long illness, Mrs. Mary Tavernier, wife of Anthony Tavernier, aged 72.
Decesased was a native of Canada but had resided in the neighborhood of Chateaugay since her marriage 52 years ago. She was known as a woman of fine traits of character. She is survived by her husband, two sons, and four daughters, John, of Burke; William of Malone; Mrs. Lewis Wood and Mrs. Annie Armour, of Chateaugay; Mrs. Frank Delargie, of Chicopee Falls, Mass., and Mrs. Gertrude Bell, of Springfield, Mass. There is also a grandchild, Miss. Mary Tavernier who has been a member of the family since childhood. The funeral was held on Saturday.
